Rental Policies & Terms

• All reservations are subject to availability and are only confirmed once the required non-refundable deposit has been paid.
• The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to or at the time of delivery, as specified in the customer invoice.

The renter is responsible for all rental equipment from the time of delivery until pickup. In the event of damage, one of the following protocols may apply:

1. Damage Waiver: An optional, non-refundable fee that covers minor accidental wear and tear. It does not cover gross negligence, theft, or damage caused by prohibited items such as Silly String or face paint.
2. Professional Repair: For repairable damage, the renter agrees to pay the total cost invoiced by a third-party professional repair company, including applicable logistics and shipping costs.
3. Total Replacement: If equipment is unrepairable, permanently damaged, lost or stolen, the renter is responsible for the full current market replacement cost of a new unit or item.

• Child Safety: Constant adult supervision by a person 18 years of age or older is required for inflatables and interactive rental equipment.
• Weather Policy: R&B Event Rentals reserves the right to cancel, postpone, remove or deflate equipment when weather conditions are considered unsafe, including high winds, lightning or heavy rain.
• Silly String Warning: Silly String can cause permanent chemical damage to vinyl. Damage caused by Silly String may result in full replacement charges.

• Inflatables & Interactive Equipment: Renters and participants acknowledge that recreational rental equipment may involve inherent risks. Equipment must be used only as intended and in accordance with safety instructions.
• Throne Chairs & Luxury Furniture: These items are intended for normal event, decorative and photographic use. Do not move installed specialty furniture without approval from R&B Event Rentals. Upholstery stains or structural damage may be billed under the professional repair or replacement protocols.
• Tents: The renter is responsible for ensuring the setup area is accessible and suitable for installation. Underground utility lines should be identified before any staking is performed. Cooking underneath rental tents is prohibited unless expressly approved in writing.

By hiring R&B Event Rentals, the renter acknowledges the risks associated with the use of rental equipment and agrees, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, to release, waive and discharge R&B Event Rentals, its owners and employees from claims for injury, loss or property damage arising from the renter’s or participants’ use or misuse of the equipment.

These terms are intended to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the State of California. Any legal action relating to the rental agreement should be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction serving the business’s applicable location, unless otherwise required by law.

• Deposits: All deposits paid to R&B Event Rentals are non-refundable. The deposit secures equipment and the requested date, making that inventory unavailable to other customers.
• Standard Cancellations: Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the event date will result in a credit equal to the deposit amount, valid toward a future rental within 6 months.
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event date will result in forfeiture of the deposit and may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the total rental balance.
• Weather-Related Cancellations: R&B Event Rentals reserves the right to cancel or postpone installation when weather conditions are determined to be unsafe.
• If a weather-related cancellation occurs before setup, the customer will receive a full credit of the deposit toward a future rental date.
• Once equipment has been delivered, set up or installed, no refund or credit will be issued because of subsequent changes in weather.
• No-Show / Inaccessible Setup Area: If the renter is not present at the delivery location at the agreed time, or the setup area is not ready or accessible, the driver may wait up to 15 minutes before proceeding to the next delivery. The rental may then be treated as canceled and the full balance may remain due.
